Beware of moisture induced expansion of angle iron.
Expansion can cause extensive diagonal & lateral cracking.
The following photos show the totally unacceptable face of the Window Industry. This work was carried out for an elderly lady in Machester. The contractor left the site as shown, and demanded payment. The contractor was not paid, the frames were re-fitted & finished by others.
Beware of fixing a 'D' mould to the face of the frame then apply athin run of silicone, these seals invariably split within months.
